        • The qualifying marks for NEET-UG for the students of general/EWS category (classified per the Indian constitution by Article 15 & 16) is 50th percentile.

        • The qualifying marks for NEET-UG for the students belonging to PwD (classified per the Indian constitution by Rights of Persons with Disabilities Act, 2016) is 45th percentile.

        • The qualifying marks for NEET-UG for the students belonging to the SC/ST/OBC category (classified per the Indian constitution by Article-334 & Article 15 (4)) is 40th percentile.

    • The students must possess a valid NEET Score card. A NEET score is valid for the 3 years from the year of declaration. Is NEET required for Studying MBBS Russia?

Impact of NEET Exam on MBBS in Russia

Before 2018 the eligibility criteria for Indian students wishing to study MBBS in Russia was limited to 17 years of age and 50% marks in PCB in Class 12th (40% marks in PCB in Class 12th for Reserved Category student) however in 2018 erstwhile MCI (NMC) revised the Eligibility criteria for Indian medical aspirants. Qualifying NEET was made a mandatory condition for getting admission in MBBS in both Indian and Russian Medical Universities. To qualify NEET must secure 50th percentile or more (40th percentile for reserved category). Earlier all NEET appearing students were eligible to get admission in MBBS but after the new introduction of the new eligibility criterion approx 50% students remain ineligible to secure MBBS seats. 

Is MBBS in Russia Possible Without NEET?

MBBS in Russia 2022 is not possible without NEET. Though students applying for MBBS in Russia without NEET can secure their seat in Russian Medical universities and can complete the degree but are not eligible to appear in the Medical Licensing Examination in India, i.e, FMGE/NExT (Foriegn Medical Graduate Examination).
