About University
Rajiv Gandhi University of Science and Technology (RGUST) was established in 2004 in accordance with the Ministry of Education, Georgetown, Guyana through the National Accreditation Council. It is listed in WHO, World Directory of Medical Schools, International Medical Education Directory (IMED) and Educational Commission for Foreign Medical Graduates (ECFMG).
The University offers high-quality education with a unique campus that gives opportunities to the student to meet, interact and collaborate with other students from different nationalities. It has fully air-conditioned lecture theatres which are equipped with ultra-modern, audio-visual teaching aids like LCD projectors, television and laptops.
The University has also collaborated with some of the leading Educational Institutions around the world- Saurashtra University (Rajkot, India) and FMG Portal, Atlanta.

Student life
The University has a very positive and lively environment. The students get to meet different people from all over the world and learn more about them. The hostels provided by the university are two bedroom apartments. The student also has a choice if he/she wants a single room accommodation or shared accommodation with another student. There is a housing counselor, who will take care of the student’s living arrangements. University also provides transportation facility from hostel to campus.
To maintain students health and fitness there are gymnasium facilities available. University also has a central library and lecture theatres. In the library there are more than 1000 books, 20 International journals, 500 medical CDs and E-library is also available.
The University assures and ensures that the student has a memorable and successful experience. It provides scholarships to the eligible students.
