Gono Bishwabiddalay, Bangladesh, also known as Gono Bishwabidyalay established in Savar, Bangladesh on 14th July, 1988 by the eminent academicians. The premises in Nalam, Savar is used for academic and administrative purposes for the University. The University has been approved and recognized by multiple councils across the globe like UGC in 1998.
The University not only emphasizes on studies but in the overall growth of the students. Other than studies, there are various facilities such as sports, physical exercises which are conducted on regular basis.
In order to support the students and encourage them to undertake sports, the University has incorporated large playgrounds along with Badminton Court, Football Field etc. Many championships like inter-department cricket tournament, football championship are organized during the session for the students to enhance their confidence and personality.
Different kinds of cultural activities like poem recitation, music and debate competitions are organized year round to contribute towards the holistic development of the students. Many Bengali speaking students participate in the literature and cultural events to spread the influence of their diverse literature and cultural history. Many non-bengali speaking students of other departments also participate with equal zeal and fervor.
