ABOUT UNIVERSITY

Khwaja Yunus Ali Medical College was founded in the year 2005. It is registered under the Society of Government of the People Republic of Bangladesh. The college is affiliated with the Rajshahi University for MBBS degree and with Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujib Medical University (BSMMU) for postgraduate degrees. The college has a non-profit learning multidisciplinary hospital which is equipped in ways and yet to be available in other hospitals of Bangladesh.

Khwaja Yunus Ali Medical College offers 5 years MBBS course whose curriculum is governed by the regulations of Bangladesh Medical & Dental Council (BM&DC). The courses are directed by the professional faculty members in pre-clinical, para-clinical and clinical disciplines. The institution focuses on developing student’s skills and attitude, so that they can deal with the health issues generally encountered at the hospital. To enhance their skills the university makes the students to undergo one-year internship program, after passing the final MBBS exam. It is compulsory to undergo a one-year internship.

The institute aims to provide global level education so that they can set a quality standard and promote a healthy community.

STUDENT LIFE

The student live a very organized and disciplined life at the University. The hostels are modern and separately secured for both girls and boys. Parents don’t have to worry about safety as the hostels are within the University premises. However, there are limited seats available, so it works on the basis of first come first serve. The college promotes co-curricular activities like sport, literary, debate and social-cultural events. There are big playgrounds for outdoor sports like football, hockey, cricket, tennis etc. inside the campus of University.
