Sobraniye 2018 – Pre-Departure Ceremony

NEW DELHI HOSTED A FAREWELL CEREMONY FOR THE STUDENTS DEPARTING TO STUDY IN RUSSIA.

On September 18, 2018, the prestigious Siri Fort Auditorium witnessed the grand “Pre-Departure Ceremony” for students enrolled in Russia. The event was jointly organized by Rus Education and the Russian Center of Science and Culture, New Delhi. Sobraniye 2018 was a phenomenal hit and exhibited grandeur. The participation of the students and their parents was at a gigantic level.

The ceremony was graced by prominent dignitaries which included General V.K. Singh- Honorable Minister of State for External Affairs, Government of India, H.E. Nikolay Rishatovich Kudashev- Honourable Ambassador of the Russian Federation, Shri Manoj Tiwari- President, Bharatiya Janta Party, New Delhi, Lt. General Rajvir Singh- Director General Medical Services (Indian Army), Mr. Fyodor Rozovsky- Director, Russian Center for Science & Culture, Dr. Reena Nayyar- Secretary Medical Council of India, Dr. S.K Washim- Chairman, Rus Education, Air Marshal (Dr.) Pawan Kapoor- Vice Chairman, Rus Education, Mr. Rigan- Director, Rus Education, & Ms. Elena Barman, Head Education Department, Russian Center of Science & Culture, India.

The Event started with motivational speeches from guests who guided the students on their journey to a new country towards a better future. The good relationship between India and Russia was also focused on as it would help the students during their stay in Russia. Students were also assured of complete support during their stay in Russia by the top management of Rus Education.

The event was graced by the presence of our Chief Guest, General V. K. Singh (Honorable Minister of State- Ministry of External Affairs) who enlightened the students and gave them valuable guidance and suggestions that would help them stand stead while pursuing their medical education from various Top Universities of Russia.

H.E. Nikolay Rishatovich Kudashev, Ambassador of the Russian Federation to the Republic of India graced the occasion as Guest of honor. He briefed the audience about Indo-Russian long-standing relationships and the academic environment and facilities that the students are expected to receive while studying MBBS in Russia.

Shri Manoj Tiwari, President, BJP, New Delhi charmed the audience with his words of wisdom and recreated the lyrics of a popular song, “Jaha Ganga, Jamuna, Krishna, aur Kaveri Behti Jaaye, Jaha Uttar, Dakshin, Pashchim, Tak Amrit Barsaaye, Han Han, Amrit Barsaaye, Bharat aur Russia Milega Toh Hoga Vishwa Mai Bhara Ujaala. Yeh Bharat Desh Hai Mera, Yeh Bharat Desh Hai Mera. Bharat Aur Russia Mil Mil Ke, Duniya Mai Layega Sawara, Yeh Bharat Desh Hai Mera, Yeh Bharat Desh Hai Mera!” Well, what else he could have got other than great applause and admiration from the audience. He was glad to be a part of such an exciting event and share his desire of attending such an event every coming year. Shri Manoj Tiwari was part of Sobraniye 2017 as well.

Lt. General Rajvir Singh, Director General Medical Services (Indian Army) motivated the medical aspirants and their parents with his kind words and encouraged the students and parents for their decision to study MBBS in Russia. He congratulated all the students who had taken a decision to move to Russia for their higher education. He was of the viewpoint, “We should keep the love of nation alive in our hearts and must serve our country in every opportunity we get to do so.”

Mr. Fyodor Rozovsky, Director Russian Center of Science & Culture spoke about how Russia has been the center for quality education and academic support to the Indian students. He expressed great joy to witness the interest of Indian students in higher education in Russia and how the Indo-Russian relations and world-class academic exposure will keep serving the Indian Students.

Dr.Reena Nayyar, Secretary of Medical Council of India was our Special Guest at the function and she apprised the gathering about the eligibility criteria and MCI Screening Examination (Foreign Medical Graduate Examination). The students were also briefed on the career opportunities in Russia.

The Chairman and Founder of Rus Education, Dr. S.K.Washim further encouraged the students to focus on their studies for the next few years as India needs good doctors and the world-class facilities and quality education that they will get in Russia will enable them to do so. He extended his complete support to the students and their parents till the time they get their degrees in hand.

The Vice-Chairman of Rus Education, Air Marshal (Dr.) Pawan Kapoor gave a brief introduction of the panel members. He further educated the students and parents about quality education in Russia. He also told about the Russian Universities and the education system they follow. He also mentioned the doctor-to-patient ratio which is not even 1:1000. He congratulated the students and parents.

The Head Education Department, Russian Center of Science & Culture, India, Ms. Elena Barman spoke about Sobraniye’s growth over the years. She also assured me that Rus Education will provide assistance right from day one. She also added, “Let your child fly with his/her wings. One wing will be Rus Education and the other wing will be the parents! In the new place and culture, Rus Education will always stand behind you.”

During the function, the guests distributed gifts which included bags and books, awards and scholarships to the meritorious students as well as financially challenged students.

Rus Education has been servicing the Indian Medical students to get higher education in medicine from Russia for the past 25 years and hosts the annual departure ceremony for the students going to study MBBS in Russia. In the course of consistent hosting of events, Rus Education recently hosted the departure ceremony, Sobraniye, in Siri Fort Auditorium, New Delhi on 18th September 2018.

Rus Education also provided various scholarships to meritorious students from all across the country. Rus Education also announced “Badhte Kadam Scholarship”, in loving memory of “Shri A.P.J Abdul Kalam”, “Druzhba Scholarship” in loving memory of “H.E. Mr. Alexander Kadakin” and “Udaan Scholarship” in Loving Memory of “Shri Atal Bihari Vajpayee”. Rus Education has recently introduced three more scholarships which are Ayushman Bharat Scholarship, Veer Jawan Scholarship, and Rus Education Excellence Scholarship.

The program also had a photo booth for the attendees to allow them to have fond memories of their Pre-Departure Ceremony forever with their loved ones. The company, Green Channel Travel Services was at hand to provide any required international currency/ forex assistance. The Company arranged a booth for the students to guide them about the same.

This year, Sobraniye was attended by almost 1500 people who witnessed the grandeur of this event. The function was followed by dinner and students on one side left with new confidence in their hearts and parents on the other side left with complete assurance.
