On July 13, 2023, Prof. Igor Miroschnichenko, the esteemed Rector of Orenburg State Medical University, on a two-day visit to India, with Max Healthcare in Saket being one of his key destinations. The primary objective of his visit was to fortify the educational bond between these prestigious institutions of the two nations and promote Russian Medical Education among Indian medical aspirants.

Prof. Igor was accompanied by Air Marshal Dr. Pawan Kapoor (Retd.), Vice Chairman of Rus Education, Dr. Ashok Patel, an Indian Representative at Orenburg State Medical University in Russia, and other members of Rus Education. This diverse delegation aimed to facilitate meaningful exchanges and foster collaborative opportunities between the two healthcare establishments.

During their visit to Max Healthcare, Prof. Igor held a productive meeting with Dr. Vinita Mittal, General Manager of Academics at Max Institute of Health Care, and Dr. Sanjay, the Academic Coordinator accompanied by BDA, along with other administrators at the hospital. The two institutions engaged in fruitful discussions exploring various opportunities and facilities provided to Indian students from Orenburg State Medical University during their summer observership at Max Healthcare, India. Dr. Vinita Mittal provided a comprehensive overview of Max Healthcare, including its academic program and various simulation models. The Rector had the opportunity to witness firsthand the facilities and resources provided by Max Healthcare.

During the visit, it was revealed to the Rector that the students undergo training in Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Life Support (ALS), Advanced Trauma Life Support (ATLS), and other essential skills. The students also have the opportunity to observe and rotate through various departments, including Medicine, Surgery, Obstetrics and Gynecology, and Pediatrics. This exposure allows them to gain practical experience and witness different emergencies.

The Rector made the most of his visit to Max Healthcare by spending considerable time in the Emergency Services department and visiting the inpatient wards. He interacted with both the patients and staff members, engaging in meaningful conversations. His day at the institution concluded with a delightful Indian lunch, providing an opportunity for informal discussions and further strengthening the bond between the two institutions.
