Finally, National Testing Agency has conducted its first National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET) on 5th May 2019 (Sunday). As NEET is the gateway to MBBS in India or MBBS in Abroad, therefore students were very nervous about the exam, but on the other side, they were excited too.
After the exam, some students were brimming with confidence; and at the same time, some students were worried about their performance.
According to reports, Physics has been the toughest section, while Biology paper was easiest for most of the appearing students.
NEET 2019 started at 2:00 PM and completed 5:00 PM across the country, except Odisha (due to Cyclone Fani). One day before the examination, almost 86 examination centres got changed in some selected states due to General Elections. Even after all these obstacles, students finally attempted their exams at their respective centres to fulfil their dreams.
Students appeared at the examination centres in the designated dress code as instructed by National Testing Agency, beforehand. Shoes were also not allowed inside the premises of the centres.
In NEET 2019, 180 questions were asked from Physics, Chemistry and Biology with each question carrying 4 marks. There were 45 questions from Physics and Chemistry, while there were 90 questions from Biology (for Botany and Zoology, collectively). The duration of the exam was three hours.
An expert stated that questions in Physics were more conceptual and application-based. NEET paper review according to the famous educationist ‘Durgesh Mangeshkar’-
“Overall, it was a standard NEET paper and cut-offs are likely to follow the trend similar to 2017 & 2018 NEET. No major surprises”
According to the students’ feedback, NEET paper analysis 2019 is:
- “Biology paper was easier. Physics & Chemistry was tougher than expected”
- “Most of the questions were from NCERT syllabus”
- “Few numerical questions were difficult as expected”
Therefore, concluding the above analysis; NEET 2019 was at an average level for students i.e. neither tough nor too easy. All the medical aspirants in India are eagerly waiting for the cut-off & results.
Once, the students qualify NEET 2019, some of them will start their higher education in Medicine (MBBS/MD) in India at Top Government Medical Colleges in India or in abroad destinations like MBBS in Russia or MBBS in Ukraine or in any other country at Top Medical Universities in Abroad.
