In a recent notice released by the Directorate General of Health Services, Government of India candidates and institutes participating in UG counselling 2020m Round-2 were informed of important development.

The circular stated that the counselling that was scheduled to start on 18th November 2020 is postponed by two days and will now begin on 20th November 2020.

The reason cited for the development was that the seats reserved for Wards of Insured Persons (IP Quota) were added in the seat matrix of round-2 and resultant revision of seat matrix. The revised schedule of Round-2 will be visible on the MCC website,http://mcc.nic.in/ .

Candidates were also informed that the surrender facility of Round-1 seats have been reopened and will remain so till the 19th of this month by 5 pm.

The registration for counselling began on October 28 with candidates applying at http://mcc.nic.in/

Seats to medical, dental and allied fields will be granted after counselling. This year, admission to JIPMER and AIIMS will also be given based on NEET counselling. Earlier, the entrance gateway for the institutes was based on separate entrance exams. MCC conducts the central counselling for 15 per cent seats to MBBC, BDS colleges across India while state-wise counselling sessions are held for the remaining seats.
