Mari State University, located in Yoshkar-Ola, the capital city of Mari-El Republic is one of the most popular universities among the Indian students aspiring to study MBBS in Russia. On 19th April 2023, the Mari State University held an International Scientific and Practical Conference “International Humanitarian Cooperation: New Challenges and Opportunities”, aimed at highlighting and discussing the issues and problems in the development of international cooperation and intercultural communication in modern conditions, global security, and international law. 

As a part of the conference, an International Patriotic Centre has been inaugurated which will provide an additional opportunity for the Indian students to strengthen ties with the Indian culture. MarSu is home to more than 1600 Indian students including 800 Ukraine returned students who are currently pursuing their MBBS in MarSu.  

The Chairman of Rus Education Prof S.K Washim attended the conference and was an integral part of the inauguration ceremony of the International Patriotic Centre. During his address to the media at the event Prof. Washim expressed his happiness and gratitude on behalf of the Indian students and parents towards the Rector, Mari State University Prof. Shvetsov Mikhail N. for providing not just good academics but also great support in the holistic development of our Indian students.
