The II Indo-Russian Education Summit 2026 (IRES 2026) continued successfully on Day 2 with exceptional participation from students, parents, university representatives, and education leaders from India and Russia. Organised by Rus Education in collaboration with Rossotrudnichestvo, the Embassy of the Russian Federation in India, and Russian House, New Delhi, the summit served as a dynamic platform for strengthening Indo-Russian educational cooperation and creating meaningful opportunities for academic exchange, institutional collaboration, and student engagement.
With participation from 100+ Russian universities and over 200 university delegates, the summit brought together key stakeholders from the education sector to explore future partnerships and support students aspiring to pursue higher education in the Russian Federation.
Exhibition of Russian Universities Draws Strong Student Response
One of the major highlights of the day was the Exhibition of Russian Universities, where students and parents interacted directly with representatives of Russian universities. The exhibition provided valuable insights into academic programs, admissions, scholarships, accommodation facilities, visa support, student life, and future career opportunities in the Russian Federation.
Students explored opportunities across a wide range of disciplines, including Medicine, Dentistry, Engineering, Artificial Intelligence, Robotics, Aviation, Information Technology, Management, Agriculture, Veterinary Sciences, Biotechnology, Humanities, International Relations, and Russian Language Studies.
Students Receive Guidance and Admission Opportunities
Throughout the day, more than 1,500 students and parents participated in one-on-one counselling sessions and interactive discussions with university representatives and education experts. These interactions enabled students to compare universities, understand eligibility requirements, explore scholarship opportunities, and receive personalised guidance for their academic journey.
The summit also witnessed strong interest from students seeking admission to Russian universities, with many participants initiating admission procedures and exploring future academic opportunities directly with university delegates.
Parents actively engaged with delegates to gain a better understanding of student support services, campus facilities, accommodation options, safety measures, and career pathways available to international students studying in Russia.
