The news of the release of the Class 12th date sheet has created much buzz around. For a long time, students were under stress due to the pandemic predicament. Already hooked to WhatsApp for all the links for coaching and other updates, uncertainty about exam dates, question paper pattern and practical was adding to their woes creating a stress-like situation for them
Till last year in December, most students were exposed to pre-boards, then second pre-boards followed by practicals, and finally boards but things were quite uncertain this year due to the pandemic.
Union Education Minister’s Announcement
The Union Education Minister Ramesh Pokhriyal Nishank on Tuesday, 2nd February, released the CBSE date sheet 2021 through his Twitter handle. He also wished luck to students appearing for the exam. In his words, he tweeted:
“Dear Students, hereby announcing the much-awaited date-sheet of board exams of X & XII. Please be assured that we have done our best to ensure that these exams go smoothly for you. Wish you good luck! “

Dates:
The class 12th exams will commence on 4th May and conclude on June 11. The practical exams will be conducted from March 1.Precautionary Measures:
CBSE will be conducting the examination in complete adherence to covid-19 protocols. The date sheet has been prepared in a manner such that the total number of students on each examination day is limited. This will help the examination centers to strictly follow the COVID-19 safety norms. Preparation Time:
Sufficient time has been given in between the main subjects to reduce the stress of students and help them prepare better.
Modifications From Last year
Last Year Boards:
The board exam last year had to be postponed mid-way in March. They were later canceled and results were announced based on an alternative assessment scheme. Delayed Exams:
CBSE usually conducts the practical exams in January and theory exams in February and March. However, this year CBSE Board Exam dates have been delayed due to the pandemic. Decreased Number of Conducting Days:
Last year, the examination schedule was of 45 days which has been changed to 39 days for this year. The examination is being conducted in two shifts to reduce the number of days of conducting examinations.

Wrapping Up
Every student who is going to appear in their class 12th board examinations is advised to score more. Though low marks in class 12 don’t mean the end of your career, good marks do mean a wonderful start to a great journey.
It also becomes important if one is interested to grab a seat in the top-notch colleges of the country. Even the best Universities abroad may not take admissions entirely on the basis of board results but it does no harm to work hard to create a respectable first impression.
