Russian Premier League, a cricket tournament was organized by Rus Education for Indian medical students. Different Russian universities participated in the league. The final game was played between Mari state university team and Perm state medical university team.
It was for the first time that such an event was organized. Students participated for the love of the game as well as for the sportsmanship that the game is well known for. Different teams from Volgograd, Tambov, Orenburg, Nalchik, Tver, Yoshkar-Ola and other cities took part at the event. The event was a huge success in terms of spectators who came to watch the game and student teams participants.
There was only one winner. Of all the teams that participated in the two-day event that took place on 23rd and 24th May 2023. There was no dearth of enthusiasm at the sporting event. Students gathered in large numbers and cheered for their favorite teams. While teams of students who played the game made sure that everyone at the event enjoyed watching the game as much as they enjoyed playing it.
Rus Education is always at the forefront in assisting Indian students abroad. Be it in terms of the admission process or organizing such events as the Russian Premier League to boost students’ morale and bring Indian students together where they can have fun and enjoy themselves connecting and building professional relationships or friendships with students from different universities. Overall, the Russian Premier League successfully achieved its goals of promoting academic excellence, cultural exchange, and personal growth among Indian students in Russian medical universities. This event showcased the power of sports in bringing people together, fostering friendships, and creating memorable experiences that will resonate with the participants for years to come.
Mari State University team, one of the teams that participated in the Russian Premier League made it to the finals. They played against the Perm State medical university team. Both the teams played in true sportsmanship fashion and in the end team Mari came out victorious. Both the team played to the best of their effort, but in the game of cricket, there could be only one winner. MarSU team victoriously claimed the championship trophy and etched their title in the history of the Russian Premier League as the first-ever winner of the League.
