The entire coronavirus pandemic has put a halt on every sector of life, life has come to a standstill. The future of students is in jeopardy due to uncertainties over this academic calendar and the new admissions of this year. The medical sector has been working tirelessly to control the spread of the virus and the medical personnel around the world have put their lives at stake in this scare. The medical profession is a noble one, and with so many students looking to pursue their careers in the medical field, Rus Education had organized a webinar to spread awareness about the COVID-19 scare and answer the queries regarding the MBBS study, in abroad. The webinar was headlined by two prominent defense personalities having an impeccable career in the medical field as well, best to answer queries regarding the subject. Air Marshal (Dr.) Pawan Kapoor (Retd.), the vice-chairman of the Rus Education, and a veteran of the Medical field having served as Former Director General Medical Services Indian Air Force, Former President Honorary Surgeon; and Admiral R K Dhowan, PVSM, AVSM, YSM (RETD) (Former Chief of the Naval Staff of Indian Navy), also holding the position of Co-Chairman at Rus Education provided the insights into the mechanism of career building in such tumultuous times. 

The aim of the webinar was to create awareness on COVID 19, to analyze the Impact of COVID 19 on Medical Education in India and Abroad, to appraise the respected participants on the Efforts put in by Rus education in support of both the current students and potential students and to address apprehensions and concerns. They discussed the impact of COVID-19 scare on the current students as well as the aspirants. The Rus Education webinar focused on removing apprehensions regarding career questions. The webinar provided data about the students stuck in this scare, so far since there are no reports of students getting affected, there is no need to panic, as per the experts. The experts did focus on the need for doctors, especially in India, due to the coronavirus scare, and since India is a country prone to certain medical calamities, it is always ready to be prepared. The experts focused on how the younger generation would provide the required workforce to India as a nation to fight such pandemic in the future as well. The parents are advised to not compromise on their wards’ future and rather motivate them to prepare for the NEET exams. The webinar discussed how affordability is one of the most important aspects while career decision, and for this, the parents are advised to not waste resources over costly colleges and rather invest in a better future with affordable colleges based on merit and of course, an assurance of government recognized colleges abroad as well.
