NEET UG 2026 Provisional Answer Key Released by NTA

The National Testing Agency has officially released the provisional answer keys for the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test Undergraduate, NEET UG 2026. The public notice was issued on 6 May 2026 after the examination was conducted successfully on 3 May 2026 across centres in India and abroad.

According to the notice, the provisional answer keys for all question paper series have now been uploaded on the official NEET website. This gives lakhs of medical aspirants an opportunity to check their responses and estimate their scores before the final result is announced.

The NTA has stated that candidates will also be allowed to challenge the provisional answer keys. However, the challenge process will begin only after the scanned OMR answer sheets are uploaded to the website. The schedule for the OMR upload and objection window will be announced separately.

Students Can Estimate Scores Before Results

The release of the provisional answer key is an important step for students waiting anxiously after the exam. By comparing their answers with the official key, candidates can calculate their probable scores and get a rough idea about their performance.

This phase also helps students identify any discrepancies in the answer key. If candidates find any doubtful or incorrect answers, they will be able to raise objections during the challenge window provided by NTA.

Students are advised to carefully verify their responses using the correct question paper code before calculating marks.
