It’s a proud moment for Mari State University (MarSU) as our talented international students achieved remarkable success at the Volga Federal District stage of the international student contest “StudRussia” (Student of the Year – 2025), held in Nizhny Novgorod.
Among 140+ participants from 27 countries and 43 universities, Mari State University students stood out with their outstanding performances, creativity, and leadership, earning multiple top awards across various categories.
Showcasing Excellence Among International Students
The “StudRussia” contest is part of the all-Russian “Student of the Year – 2025” competition, a nationwide initiative that celebrates the most talented and active students studying in Russian universities. It aims to highlight not only academic success but also social engagement, creative expression, and contributions to university life.
The Volga Federal District stage, which was held in Nizhny Novgorod, united some of the brightest foreign students currently studying in Russia. Through project presentations, performances, and interviews, participants highlighted their academic accomplishments, leadership skills, and personal initiatives.
