New Delhi: The National Testing Agency (NTA) has released a public notice dated 5 January 2026 advising candidates appearing for NEET (UG) 2026 to ensure that their Aadhaar details, UDID card (if applicable), and category certificates are accurate and valid before filling the online application form.
The advisory has been issued to streamline the application process and avoid last-minute issues during registration.
Aadhaar Details Must Be Accurate
NTA has instructed all NEET UG 2026 aspirants to verify that their Aadhaar details are correct and updated. The following particulars must exactly match the candidate’s records:
- Name
- Date of Birth
- Gender
- Photograph
- Address
Biometric information (wherever applicable)
Candidates who need corrections or updates in their Aadhaar details can do so by visiting the official UIDAI website.
UDID Card Mandatory for PwD Candidates
For candidates applying under the Persons with Disabilities (PwD) category, NTA has clarified that a valid UDID (Unique Disability ID) card is mandatory and must be updated.
Category Certificates Must Be Valid
Candidates belonging to reserved categories such as EWS, SC, ST, OBC-NCL, and others have been advised to ensure that their category certificates are valid and updated as per the latest government norms. Invalid or outdated certificates may lead to rejection of claims during the admission process.
