NEET PG Round 3 Counselling Resumes With New Registrations
January 31, 2026

NEET PG Round 3 Counselling has officially restarted, now offering fresh registrations with newly added seats. This creates expanded opportunities for eligible aspirants. Candidates are encouraged to take part in the process and make their choices carefully to maximise their chances.

Updated NEET PG 2025 Round 3 Counselling Schedule

The Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) has issued an updated schedule for NEET PG Counselling 2025 Round 3. After a short halt, the counselling process is back on track, with registrations closing today, January 31. The Round 3 seat allotment results are slated for release on February 3. Candidates can view the revised notification on the official MCC website, mcc.nic.in.

The Revised Timeline

All dates for Round 3 NEET PG Counselling are now finalised. Here’s the timetable thousands have been waiting for:

  • Jan 30 – Jan 31, 2026: Fresh registration & fee payment.
  • Jan 31 – Feb 2: Choice filling window.
  • Feb 1 (8 PM) – Feb 2: Choice locking.
  • Feb 2: Seat allotment processing.
  • Feb 3: Seat allotment results released on MCC’s official portal.
  • Feb 4 – Feb 11: Reporting at allotted colleges.

Why This Matters

Round 3 is often considered a last major lifeline for candidates:

  • It allows seat upgrades, fresh entries, and strategic shifts from earlier rounds.
  • With the expanded seat pool, even those with lower ranks might find opportunities that once seemed out of reach.

NEET PG Seat Scope

The counselling process covers 50% All India Quota seats, along with 100% of seats in deemed universities, central universities, and Armed Forces Medical Services institutions. A stray vacancy round is expected to be conducted if vacancies remain after Round 3.

Final Word

In recent years, the MCC has often reopened later counselling rounds with eased conditions and additional seats to ensure maximum utilisation of PG medical seats. Round 3 typically becomes a pivotal opportunity for candidates who missed earlier rounds or were unable to secure their preferred speciality or college.

Candidates are encouraged to take part in the resumed Round 3 counselling and select their choices thoughtfully within the prescribed deadlines.
