FMGE October 2026: NBEMS Extends Document Correction Deadline

The National Board of Examinations in Medical Sciences (NBEMS) has extended the deadline for candidates appearing for the FMGE October 2026 session to rectify deficiencies in their application documents and images. According to the notice, the revised deadline is 23 October 2026, up to 2:00 PM.

Earlier, candidates were required to rectify deficiencies in their uploaded documents and images by 21 October 2026, at 11:55 PM. With this extension, applicants who have received deficiency notifications have additional time to complete the required corrections.

How to Submit Deficient Documents and Images

NBEMS has specified separate portals for correcting document-related and image-related deficiencies. Candidates must access these portals through their applicant login on the official NBEMS website.

  • For deficient documents: Candidates must use the Document Scrutiny Portal.
  • For deficient images: Candidates must use the Image Scrutiny Portal.

Applicants can visit the official NBEMS website at natboard.edu.in to access the relevant portals and complete the correction process.

What Happens If Candidates Miss the Deadline?

NBEMS has clarified that candidates who fail to rectify their application deficiencies within the prescribed deadline will be declared ineligible for the examination. No further opportunity to submit deficient documents or images will be provided after the deadline.

The board also stated that it will not issue admit cards to candidates declared ineligible before the examination. Therefore, candidates who have received deficiency notifications should complete the correction process within the extended window.

FMGE October 2026 Exam Date

The FMGE October 2026 examination is scheduled to be conducted on October 31, 2026, in computer-based test mode at examination centres across India.

With the revised correction deadline falling just over a week before the examination, candidates should prioritise resolving any pending application issues to avoid complications with their eligibility and admit card.

Candidates can access the relevant portals through the official NBEMS website. For assistance, they may contact NBEMS Candidate Care Support at 011-45593000 or submit their queries through the NBEMS Communication Web Portal.
