The National Testing Agency (NTA) has issued an official statement regarding reports linked to alleged irregularities surrounding NEET UG 2026. The clarification follows action taken by the Rajasthan Special Operations Group (SOG) in connection with the matter.

According to the NTA, the NEET UG 2026 examination held on 3 May 2026 was conducted “as scheduled and under a full security protocol.” The agency stated that several advanced security measures were used during the examination process to maintain fairness and transparency.

NTA Highlights Security Measures During Exam

In its statement, the NTA explained that question papers were transported in GPS-tracked vehicles carrying unique and traceable watermark identifiers. The examination halls were monitored through AI-assisted CCTV surveillance from a central control room.

The agency also confirmed that biometric verification was conducted for every candidate, and 5G jammers were active at examination centres during the test.

NTA stated that the examination process proceeded as planned across all centres on the exam day.

Inputs Received Four Days After NEET UG 2026

The agency said that on the late evening of 7 May 2026, four days after the examination, it received inputs concerning alleged malpractice activity related to NEET UG 2026.

According to the statement, these inputs were escalated by NTA to central agencies on the morning of 8 May 2026 for independent verification and necessary action.

NTA also acknowledged the work of law enforcement agencies, including recent detentions reported in the media. The agency said it is fully cooperating with investigators by providing examination-related data and technical assistance.

Investigation Still Ongoing

NTA clarified that the matter is currently under investigation and that the facts will be established by the concerned agencies in due course. The agency stated that it will not prejudge the inquiry or comment on its likely outcome.

The statement also reassured students and parents that the integrity and hard work of genuine NEET aspirants “is not in question, and will not be devalued.”

NTA urged candidates and families to remain patient while agencies complete their investigation and said any necessary steps would be taken in consultation with the Ministry of Education if required.

Final Word

As the investigation continues, students and parents are now waiting for clear answers from the concerned agencies. NTA has assured candidates that the credibility of genuine aspirants remains protected and that any further action will be taken transparently in consultation with the Ministry of Education.
