NEET SS 2026 Counselling Begins: MCC Starts Round 1 Registration, Apply by March 15

The Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) has officially started the Round 1 registration for NEET Super Speciality (NEET SS) 2026 counselling. Now, candidates who qualified for the exam can apply online for admission to super speciality medical courses across India.

The counselling process is conducted online through the MCC portal and plays an important role in allocating seats for advanced medical programmes in the country.

NEET SS 2026 Round 1 Registration Details

The registration process for NEET SS 2026 counselling began on March 10, 2026. Eligible candidates must complete the application through the official MCC website.

The last date to register is March 15, 2026, till 12 noon, while the payment facility will remain open until 3 pm on the same day.

Candidates who successfully qualified the National Eligibility-cum-Entrance Test Super Speciality (NEET SS) are eligible to participate in the counselling process.

Choice Filling and Seat Allotment Schedule

After registration, candidates must select their preferred institutes and courses during the choice filling stage, which will be conducted from March 11 to March 16, 2026.

Choice locking will take place on March 16 between 4 pm and 11:55 pm. The seat allotment process for Round 1 will be carried out on March 17, and the result will be announced on March 18, 2026.

Candidates who receive a seat must report to their allotted institute between March 19 and March 25, 2026, to confirm admission.

Courses Offered Through NEET SS Counselling

The counselling process is conducted for admission to super speciality medical programmes, including:

  • Doctor of Medicine (DM)
  • Master of Chirurgiae (MCh)

These programmes allow qualified doctors to pursue specialised training in advanced medical fields.

Academic Session to Begin in April

According to the official schedule, the academic session for NEET SS 2026 courses will begin on April 10, 2026. Candidates are advised to carefully follow the counselling timeline and regularly check the MCC website for updates and announcements.
