During the Russian Education Fair 2022, 2nd Edition in Delhi, the delegates of the top government medical universities of Russia participated in the Press Meet. The press conference featured Mr Oleg Osipov, Director, Russian House in New Delhi, Prof. Shvetsov Mikhail N., Rector, Mari State University and Prof. S.K. Washim, Chairman, Rus Education taking over the mike to answer the questions. Dr Dinesh Singla, Director, Rus Education, also joined the conference and mediated between the guests and media.
Several leading media houses such as ABP, Republic Bharat, TV9 Bharatvarsh, IndiaToday, Aajtak, ZeeNews, ETV, etc were present during the press meet.
The highlight of the Press Meet was the transfer of Ukraine-returned medical students to Russian medical universities and the opportunities it offers. The Rector of MarSU also detailed the procedure for transfer and the arrangements done by the university to aid approximately 5000 transfer students on its campus.
Mr Oleg Osipov, Director, Russian House in New Delhi, further ensured the support from the Russian legislation to aid the transfer of these students. Prof. S.K. Washim, Chairman, Rus Education also ensured complete support for not only the transfer of the students but also their studies in the Russian universities.
On being asked about the difficulties of Ukraine returned students such as in acquiring the original transcripts from the Ukrainian universities, the bench further stated the acceptance of the online transcripts for the transfer and stated that the Indian Embassy in Ukraine is talking and actively working for the same.
