Last week, Sukas, a 5th-year student at the Medical Institute of Mari State University, generously added his poetry book,”Anatomy of a Poet,” to the university library’s collection. The title beautifully reflects the irony and contrasts that have shaped his life.
While pursuing his medical degree, Sukas discovered a passion for poetry and, along the way, became a poet. His book, “Anatomy of a Poet,” offers readers a glimpse into how a poet views the world, capturing the essence of emotions and experiences through his unique lens. In his own words, he shared one of his favorite poems from the book:
Here’s one of his favorite poems:
“Have you seen much destruction,
little art,
So much end before the start,
Yet you are still a believer,
Aren’t you, my dear heart?”
We are proud to see our student excel professionally and personally.
