Every medical student’s journey is filled with hard work, determination, and countless unforgettable moments. Mari State University Convocation Week 2026 was a beautiful celebration of that journey, bringing together students, parents, faculty members, and university leaders to honour the graduating Class of 2026.
The week began with the White Coat Ceremony, one of the university’s most cherished traditions. Graduating students wrote heartfelt messages and signatures on each other’s white coats, creating lifelong memories with friends, classmates, and mentors. The ceremony became even more special as Rector Dr. Mikhail N. Shevtsov shared his best wishes and personally signed the graduates’ white coats.
Another highlight of the celebrations was a special live address by the Rector for Indian students. During the session, he announced five new sports scholarships for students excelling in cricket, badminton, and chess. He also shared plans for the university’s first Global Alumni Meet in 2027, strengthening Mari State University’s connection with its international graduates.
The celebrations concluded with the Grand Convocation Ceremony, where graduates proudly received their degrees in the presence of their parents, professors, and university leadership. It was a proud and emotional moment that marked the end of one chapter and the beginning of another as future doctors prepared to serve society.
