Rus Education, in collaboration with Russian House, New Delhi, organised Sobraniye 2026 – The Pre-Departure Ceremony, bringing together over 300 Indian students and their families as they prepared to begin their MBBS journey in Russia. The ceremony marked a significant milestone for students who have completed their admission process and are now getting ready to depart for Russia to start their medical education in top Russian universities.
Students from different parts of India attended the ceremony and will be joining Orenburg State Medical University, Perm State Medical University, Mari State University, Pskov State University, Kalmyk State University, and various other Russian medical universities.
The event gave students a chance to interact with their classmates and university delegates while sharing the excitement for the journey ahead.
The ceremony became an exciting and memorable event. While students got a chance to meet fellow aspirants who will soon become their classmates and friends in Russia, parents felt proud and emotional as they saw their children take an important step towards their dream of becoming doctors. As students met each other during the event, it also created a sense of community amongst them even before they reached university.
Sobraniye 2026 brought together students and families after months of the admission process, documentation, and preparation, as they reflected on their journey so far while looking forward to their time in Russia.
The event was graced by the presence of distinguished guests, medical professionals, and delegates, who encouraged students to approach their medical education with dedication, discipline, responsibility, and an open mind. They were also encouraged to make the most of their experience in Russia, both academic and personal, while they adapt to a new educational and cultural environment.
The photographs, conversations, and smiles shared during the ceremony captured the excitement and emotions ahead of the students’ departure.
As the 2026–27 batch gets ready to leave India and begin their journey at their respective universities, Sobraniye 2026 marks a special moment before this exciting new chapter begins. The ceremony brought together students, parents, and everyone who has supported them along the way, giving them a chance to celebrate how far they’ve come and look forward to the experiences waiting for them in Russia.
