Rus Education, in collaboration with Russian House, New Delhi, organised Sobraniye 2026 – The Pre-Departure Ceremony, bringing together more than 300 Indian students and their families as they prepared to begin their MBBS journey in Russia. The ceremony marked an important milestone for students who have completed their admission process and are now preparing to leave India and begin their medical education in a new country.
Students from across India heading to Orenburg State Medical University, Perm State Medical University, Mari State University, Pskov State University, Kalmyk State University, and several other Russian medical universities participated in the ceremony. The gathering gave students an opportunity to meet their future peers, interact with delegates, and share the excitement of the journey ahead.
The ceremony was filled with enthusiasm, pride, and memorable moments. For students, it was a chance to meet fellow aspirants who will soon become their classmates and friends in Russia. For parents, it was a proud and emotional occasion as they saw their children take an important step towards their dream of becoming doctors.
Sobraniye 2026 was more than a formal pre-departure gathering. It brought students and families together after months of admission procedures, documentation, and preparation, giving them a moment to reflect on how far they had come before taking the next step towards university life in Russia.
The event also featured guidance and messages from distinguished medical professionals and delegates, who encouraged students to approach their medical education with dedication, discipline, responsibility, and an open mind. Students were also encouraged to make the most of their experience in Russia, both inside and outside the classroom, as they adapt to a new academic and cultural environment.
For many students, the ceremony also marked the beginning of new friendships. Meeting others who would soon be travelling to the same country created a sense of community even before their university life officially began.
For families, Sobraniye 2026 offered an opportunity to share this important milestone with others going through a similar experience. The photographs, conversations, smiles, and moments shared during the ceremony captured the excitement and emotions surrounding the students’ upcoming departure.
As the 2026-27 batch prepares to leave India and join their respective universities, Sobraniye 2026 remains a memorable milestone before the next stage of their medical education begins. The ceremony brought together the people who have been part of the students’ journey so far and gave them an opportunity to look ahead to what awaits them in Russia.
