Sobraniye 2018: Nine Years of Facilitating Knowledge Exchange

At present, the southern state of Kerala is suffering from what is being described as the worst floods in 100 years. Social media is overbrimmed with the images of the condition of God's own country. Hundreds of people have died, tens of thousands have been displaced and the damage to property and infrastructure is immeasurable.

However, Kerala wasn't abandoned to its fate. People and organizations rose up to lend a hand, helping to save the lives of thousands and bringing some measure of sanity to the calamity-stricken state.

Rus Education is one such organization which contributed Rs. 1,00,001/- towards relief work in flood- ravaged Kerala. Rus Education has made a donation to the Government of Kerala's Chief Minister Distress Relief Fund, working towards the welfare of victims of floods in the state.

We, at Rus Education wanted to contribute our share to the relief of the grieving families in Kerala at this difficult moment of natural calamity. We would also like to offer our condolences to the families still stuck in disaster-hit areas and devasted by the catastrophe caused by the state-wide flood situation.

According to the state authorities, the death toll has mounted to 197 and around 36 are missing in Kerala since August 8, 2018, due to floods and landslides. Over 3.14 lakh people have been moved to relief camps. Telephone lines, internet, and electricity have been nearly wiped out in the state.
