Foreign Medical Graduates Examination (FMGE) or MCI Screening Test which is mandatory for foreign medical graduates desirous of getting a provisional or permanent registration with Medical Council of India (MCI) or any other State Medical Council (SMC) will be held on 29 June 2018.
The application forms of MCI Screening Test/FMGE 2018 are now available. The applicants can now fill FMGE 2018 online application form from 11th May, 2018 to 31st May, 2018 (by 11:55 PM).
As per the rules, “An Indian citizen/Overseas citizen of India possessing a primary medical qualification awarded by any medical institution outside India who is desirous of getting provisional or permanent registration with the Medical Council of India or any State Medical Council on or after March 15, 2002 shall have to qualify a screening test conducted by the prescribed authority for that purpose as per the provisions of Section 13 of the Act”.

The candidate must fulfill the following criteria to be concluded eligible for the FMGE 2018 exam:-
Online submission of application form of FMGE does not automatically confirms your eligibility for FMGE. It is also essential for the candidate to submit the prescribed documents to NBE through email at email@example.com latest by 7th June 2018 failing which the candidate WILL NOT BE PERMITTED to appear for FMGE.
Those candidates who have been unsuccessful in FMGE in the past and have already submitted their scanned documents to NBE at Email ID firstname.lastname@example.org are not required to resubmit their scanned documents again. These candidates have simply to mention their roll numbers that were issued to them in the last FMGE in which they had appeared
The recommended fee for taking the FMGE 2018 (June session) is Rs. 5,500/- which is non-refundable. The payment for the application form can be made either through payment gateway or net banking provided using a credit or debit card.
The FMGE 2018 (June session) will be conducted online. The exam will have a total of 300 multiple choice questions in English Medium. They will be divided into two part papers. The first part will be taken in a single day- morning and the second part will be taken in the afternoon session consisting 150 questions each. Below are the important pointers one should keep in mind while sitting for FMGE 2018 (June session):
The applicants will be able to take up a practice cum demo test of FMGE 2018 (June session) from June 15, 2018 onwards, to familiarize themselves with the experience and functionality of actual online test format on the official website. The students can access the demo test for the FMGE 2018 (June session) by entering the testing ID (issued upon successful completion of the registration and scheduling process). The applicants are advised to pay complete attention towards the Demo Test pattern carefully so that the students can acquaint themselves with the screens, layout, and the navigation of the FMGE.
The admit card of FMGE 2018 will be announced in the third week of June 2018. The applicants will be able to download their admit card by logging in from the link. After finishing with the registration Process and Scheduling process for FMGE 2018 (June session), the students will get a computer generated acknowledgement on their registered e-mail ID. This will indicate that the application of the applicant was submitted successfully and the candidate will be eligible to get his/her FMGE admit card 2018.
The list of examination centers for FMGE 2018 June session has been increased compared to previous year. This year FMGE 2018 exam centers will be distributed across 25 FMGE exam cities.

The minimum marks required to clear the FMGE 2018 for June session are 150 out of 300 i.e. the candidate must fulfill the criteria of scoring at least 50% marks to clear the examination as per the statutory requirement under section 13(4A) of the IMC Act, 1956 amended in 2002. The applicants who make it to the list will be confirmed as ‘FMGE 2018 qualified’.
The result for FMGE 2018 June session will be declared by July 31, 2018. The results will be updated online in the form of scorecards. The scorecards of FMGE 2018 June session will comprise an applicant’s details along with the marks and ranks obtained by him/her. The applicants will be able to check the results for FMGE exam on the NBE website.
